I'm hoping they don't remember just the Nintendo-bans, forgetting the days out en famille. PM - I kept a diary of the "got up, went to school, lunch horrid" variety. But I was older by then. For my earlier years I have nothing but my memory and photos, invariably without the top of my head. ML - I've kept all their nursery notebooks, which they'll probably chuck out unread when they have to sort through our accumulated junk. Ex - yes I read the Two Little Boys post. I used to love that song! We have it on one of those retro CDs but the kids preferred "I've lost my Mummy" OM - You’re right about remembering awful bits. Probably right, although I can remember living in Wales when I wasn't quite three. Rilly Super has a current post mentioning the song "Two Little Boys" which I used to sing to my older two every night. I tried it out the other day and they couldn't even help me finish the first sentence. Mind you, they are now 12 and 15 so they were probably just dying of embarrassment! My mum despairs of all the things she did of which I only ever remember terrible mistakes SHE made! My daughter found a diary kept by the nursery she went to for a little bit. Thank God I kept diary (which I have no recollection of writing) otherwise the whole thing would be a blank. I think it just shows that your children had a good time and have no need to remember things - after all, you tend to remember the really awful bits, don't you? so you must have done a good job.
